Are you already struggling with your New Year resolution? You’re not alone. After the first couple of weeks trying to lose weight, exercise, or save money, we flounder. The problem with many New Year resolutions is that underneath, there is a criticism (I’m too fat, too flabby, or too poor). Criticism is not motivating. Criticism makes us feel bad about ourselves.
Try this instead: I love myself so much I eat foods that nourish and feel good in my body. I move my body in ways that increase my strength and vitality because I care about myself. When I take care of my money, later my money can take care of me – I do this because I am worth it.
Changes based on Self love, rather than criticism, are more likely to be permanent and lasting.
